Casey Wilkinson started DogWalkerPro because she couldn't stop taking care of other people's animals. Seriously. Friends would go on vacation, hand her the house key, and come back to a dog that had been walked, brushed, spoiled, and honestly didn't want to leave.
Life gets busy. Kids, work, travel — sometimes you need someone to step in and love on your pets while you can't. That's the whole idea behind DWP.
That's how DogWalkerPro was born.
Casey always knew she'd work with animals. She just took a while figuring out the how. She tried vet school but couldn't handle seeing animals in pain every day. Marine biology didn't sit right either. She graduated top of her class with a Criminal Justice degree, thinking she'd become a K9 officer. That didn't work out.
Meanwhile she was working at Monkey Jungle, Snakes at Sunset, and Deep Hollow Ranch. On the side, she was pet sitting for everyone she knew. Friends, family, their friends, their family's friends. That was the part she actually looked forward to.
By the time she finished college, word of mouth had done its thing. Her phone was ringing enough that taking care of pets wasn't a side gig anymore — it was the gig.
Casey can't be everywhere at once, though. One person can only walk so many dogs in a day. So she built a team — people who care about animals the same way she does. Not just “I like dogs” people. The kind of people who will sit on the floor with a nervous rescue for an hour until it stops shaking.
That's what DWP is. A small team of animal people who show up when you need us. Every day, holidays, whenever. You go on your trip. Your dog gets walked, fed, and spoiled. You get photos and updates so you're not worrying the whole time.
